When and where was the Supporting Syria and the Region conference held?
The conference was held at the QEII Conference Centre in London on 4 February 2016.

What was the programme?
It was a full day event. The day included a plenary session and thematic sessions focusing on key priorities, such as education and jobs. There were also associated events around the conference.

Who attended the conference?
The co-hosts invited leaders from more than 70 countries, international organisations, NGOs, civil society and the private sector to come together in London to raise further humanitarian and development funding, and address the longer-term needs of those affected by the crisis in Syria.

What were the outcomes of the conference?
The conference raised over US$ 11 billion in pledges – $5.8 billion for 2016 and a further $5.4 billion for 2017-20 to enable partners to plan ahead. The conference also agreed measures to help create economic opportunities for people affected by the crisis and committed that there will be No Lost Generation of children as a result of the Syria crisis.
